Bead Embroidery Class: “Shibori Silk Cuff”

November 9, 2017 @ 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm

$20

Bead Embroidery Shibori Silk Cuff

Designed and taught by Dawn

Date: Thursday, November 9  | Time: 12:30 – 3:30  |  Difficulty Level:  Intermediate  |  Prerequisite: must have some knowledge of bead embroidery or bead weaving

Cost: $20 plus materials  (Because we are bringing in an outside instructor, Laura’s Bead Addicts Membership Club cards cannot be used for this class and it does not qualify for our “first time is free” promotion)

.

The latest bead embroidered cuff from Dawn is a beautiful piece featuring a background of shibori silk ribbon, accented with seed beads, crystals and more. You can create an intricate design like her butterfly, a more simple design like her burgundy cuff, or create something completely unique of your own. The cuff can be stitched over a hard brass base or as a soft cuff.

Note about materials: The shibori ribbon you will be purchasing from Dawn directly. She has access to many different colors, so we highly suggest that you touch base with her by 10/31 in order to custom order your selection. Please speak to a Laura’s Beads staff person for details. If you register after 10/31 you should plan on arriving a half hour before class to see what ribbons Dawn brings to choose from and then choose coordinating beads.

Some Experience Necessary

To take this class you’ll need to have some previous experience in bead embroidery or bead weaving. Bead embroidery classes are small in size so you’ll get plenty of teacher time. The instructor will have already made the piece so that you can see what is looks like completed.

We ask that you always use supplies from Laura’s Beads when in our beading room. Thank you!
