Intermediate Bead-Weaving Class: “Half Tila Herringbone Bracelet”
June 30 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm$9
“Half Tila Herringbone Bracelet”
Date: Saturday, June 30 | Time: 10:30 – 12:30 | Difficulty Level: Intermediate 1 | Instructor: Sue
Cost: $9 plus materials or you can use your Laura’s Bead Addicts Membership Club Card (This class qualifies for our “first time is free” promotion, so if this is your first time joining us in the beading room, be sure to let us know when you check in on class day and we’ll waive the 9 fee!)
This bracelet is smooth, slinky and very comfortable to wear! The technique is simple — just flat herringbone with half-tila and size 15 seed beads. You can also do a little chunkier version with brick and size 11 seed beads.
We are not sure who is considered the original designer of this bracelet, since it is very commonly seen around the Internet, however we used the YouTube video done by “crystalpan” as our guide. You can view her video by clicking here if you are not able to join our Bead Circle and would like to see how this is made. Attendees of this class will receive a handout that we’ve written to use as a pattern.
The Next Step in Bead Weaving
Are you ready to expand on the techniques you’ve learned in the beginner classes and take your beading to the next level? This is the perfect class for you! Some bead weaving experience is necessary to take this class. Intermediate classes have a maximum of 10 people so that everyone gets plenty of teacher time. We ask that you always use supplies from Laura’s Beads when in our beading room. Thank you!
New to bead weaving?
Start by attending some of our beginner bead-weaving classes and learn everything you need to know about bead weaving. Classes are small, so you’ll have plenty of teacher time. You’ll familiarize yourself with the terminology of bead weaving so you’ll start to understand how to read patterns and practice various stitches and techniques. In no time at all you’ll be ready to move up to intermediate level!
