Bead Circle Update
NEW: The sparkling ruffly “Soft Symmetry” bracelet designed by Kathryn Bowman caught our eye the moment that the nice folks at Bead & Button posted it on their Facet Jewelry website! Using several different colors of seed beads, you’ll follow a graph to stitch a multi-row right-angle weave bracelet, then use a “smocking” technique to cinch the bracelet in certain sections to give it dimension. Finish off with an edging to enhance the ruffles and you’ll end up with a unique and beautiful showpiece! Click on the photo for details and to reserve your seat:
NEW: Wrap around bracelets are casual, funky and fun! The original “Groovy Trax Wrap” by Kathy Cook used groovy tiles, however the smooth tiles we have here at the shop work well for her pattern also. You can either stitch the piece using two needles as Kathy has, or we can show you how to use a one-needle approach if you prefer. ! Click on the photo for details and to reserve your seat:

Classes Newly Added to Calendar
Beginner Stitch Workshop: Herringbone Stitch, a favorite of Laura’s Beads, has great texture. You start with a ladder-stitched strip of beads, then work back and forth across the row, adding two beads at a time. The pattern of sewing up and down through the beads tilts the pairs of beads towards each other, creates stacked columns. Click on the photo for details and to sign up:
Beginner Beading Class: Learn how to make the always-popular leather wrap-around bracelet using an assortment of crystals, cube beads and more! Click on the photo for details and to sign up:

Save the Date for our Holiday Party!
The Laura’s Beads annual holiday party will be on Sunday, December 17th. We are happy to be hosted again this year by our friends at Stassi’s Italian Grill in New Port Richey. More details will be available in the coming weeks and at that time we will begin taking RSVPs, but in the meantime be sure to mark your calendar for a relaxing afternoon of food, wine and beady friends!
Until next time, have a sparkling week and happy beading!
