Here are just a few of our favorite websites for downloading bead patterns – many of them FREE!
Our boards on Pinterest are organized to help you get directly to what interests you. Whether you are looking for patterns that use some of the new 2-hole bead types, or patterns that focus on peyote stitch, we have something for everyone. We also love suggestions, so feel free to suggest pins that you think our other beaders will also enjoy!
Bead & Button Magazine
We all love Bead & Button magazine with it’s selection of great patterns, but they also have bonus free patterns on their website that you can print. Many are free to anyone, others are free just to subscribers. You can also purchase patterns from past magazines.
Beading Daily and Beadwork Magazine
Created by Interweave, publisher of Beadwork magazine, you can sign up for free email tips and project patterns on this site. You’ll have to register with your email address to get the free patterns, but once you do you can download and print out many free patterns, including several different booklets that are filled with patterns focusing on different stitches and techniques.
Around the Beading Table by Deborah Roberti
Deborah Roberti has an amazing selection of patterns on her site and is a very talented designer. Her instructions are very detailed and clear, enjoyed by both beginner and experienced beaders. She has an assortment of free patterns, particularly geared towards beginners, plus a large number of more detailed patterns that you can purchase. She sells them digitally, so make sure to have email and a printer available.
Designs by Ella Des
Ella has a gorgeous selection of original designs for sale at very reasonable prices, plus some free beginner tutorials on her site. She is also featured on www.jewelrylessons.com as an instructor. Her directions are extremely detailed and clear and we know you’ll love working with them!
Here you will find access to many patterns that feature the latest Czech beads and trends. Although some of the patterns on this site are available for anyone to download, most are only accessible though your local bead shop. If you are a customer here at Laura’s Beads and see something you like on this site, just let us know next time you stop in and we’d be happy to assist you with getting a copy of the pattern and your supplies.
www.sova-enterprises.com (used to be bead-patterns.com)
This site has a huge amount of patterns, some free (click on the link that says “free” when you get to their home page to only access those) and many available for purchase. Even if you are selecting a free pattern you must put it in your shopping cart, as a $0 item and go through the checkout process. There’s a lot to browse through on this site, so give yourself some time when you visit!
