“Soft Symmetry Bracelet”
This pattern is featured on Bead & Button’s website www.facetjewelry.com and can be downloaded here: Soft Symmetry Bracelet Pattern. We will be distributing an enlarged copy of the grid to participants.
Dates & Times: Friday, December 8, 10:30-12:30 | Wednesday, December 13, 10:30-12:30 | Thursday, December 14, 5:30-7:30
Difficulty Level: Advanced 3 out of 3 | Technique: multi-row right-angle weave from graph; smocking | Beadvisor: Laura
This sparkling ruffly bracelet caught our eye the moment that the nice folks at Bead & Button posted it on their Facet Jewelry website! Using several different colors of seed beads, you’ll follow a graph to stitch a multi-row right-angle weave bracelet, then use a “smocking” technique to cinch the bracelet in certain sections to give it dimension. Finish off with an edging to enhance the ruffles and you’ll end up with a unique and beautiful showpiece!
A nominal $9 fee is charged to participate in these sessions or you can use your Laura’s Bead Addicts Membership Club Card. We kindly ask that you always use supplies from Laura’s Beads when in our beading room. Thank you!.

What is the Weekly Bead Circle?
Beading at home is a relaxing and enjoyable hobby, there is no doubt about it, but beading as a group is FUN! Each week we’ll pick a project, grab our magazines and gather in the beading room at Laura’s. The projects we choose do require some knowledge of bead-weaving and a comfort level with reading patterns since beaders will be working more independently than in a class setting, however one of our staff (also known as your “Beadvisor”) is in the beading room during the session to help if you have any questions along the way. Your Beadvisor will also have made the selected piece ahead of time so that you can see what it looks like completed and will discuss her experience in making it, along with providing suggestions, tips and ideas for adaptations.
New to bead weaving?
Attend one of our bead-weaving classes and learn everything you need to know about bead weaving. Classes are small, so you’ll have plenty of teacher time. You’ll familiarize yourself with the terminology of bead weaving so you’ll start to understand how to read patterns and practice various stitches and techniques. In no time at all you’ll be ready to join in the Bead Circle!
