“Ribbons and Bows Bracelet

We were so excited to see a new use for carrier beads that really shows off the beauty of these beads! The piece is substantial and eye catching. You’ll create a peyote base using 3mm cubes and them embellish it using a cross-weave technique.

Dates & Times:  Friday, March 1, 2:30-4:30 | Wed, March 6, 10:30-12:30 | Thursday, March 14, 5:30-7:30

Difficulty Level: Intermediate 2 |  Technique: Peyote & cross-weave |  Beadvisor: Laura

Cost: $9 plus materials or you can use your Laura’s Bead Addicts Membership Card
This Bead Circle qualifies for our “first time is free” promotion, so if this is your first time joining us in the beading room, be sure to let us know when you check in on the day of the session and we’ll waive the class fee!

Pattern: This pattern is designed by Ellie Hamlett of The Buffalo Bead Gallery and featured in Bead & Button Magazine, Februbary 2019 Edition. Be sure to bring your copy of the magazine to the Bead Circle or you can purchase your copy here.

Homework: If you prefer to stitch the base of the bracelet before you come to Bead Circle so that you can work on the embellishment while you’re here at the shop, that is absolutely fine. The embellishment is more likely where you may have questions we can assist with. Be sure to pay close attention to the designers instructions as far as how many rows your base must be for your embellishment to be properly centered. Remember, Bead Circles are very flexible, so we encourage you to use that time in the way that best suits your needs!

What is a Bead Circle?

Beading at home is a relaxing and enjoyable hobby, there is no doubt about it, but beading as a group is FUN! Several times a month we’ll pick a project, grab our magazines and gather in the beading room at Laura’s. The projects we choose do require some knowledge of bead-weaving and a comfort level with reading patterns since beaders will be working more independently than in a class setting, however one of our staff (also known as your “Beadvisor”) is in the beading room during the session to help if you have any questions along the way. Your Beadvisor will also have made the selected piece ahead of time so that you can see what it looks like completed and will discuss her experience in making it, along with providing suggestions, tips and ideas for adaptations.
